One request. One new feature.
One question at INTERGEO sparked a new Pointorama feature. Discover how customer feedback inspired an AI-powered tool to create custom furniture for floor plans, now in testing.

You asked. We took it further.
A customer request at INTERGEO inspired our next development. What started as a request to expand the furniture library has grown into something more: an AI-powered tool to create and customise smart objects for your floor plans.
It started with a customer request
At INTERGEO 2026, we introduced one of Pointorama's latest developments: Complete Your Floor Plan.
Creating walls and rooms is only part of the job. A floor plan becomes much more useful when you can add the details that make a space recognisable: tables, chairs, cabinets, stairs and other interior elements.
With Pointorama, users can add these objects directly to their floor plans, turning raw point cloud data into a complete, client-ready deliverable.
During one of our demonstrations, a visitor made a request that immediately caught our attention: "Can I expand my furniture library with my own models?"
At that moment, the answer was no. But we saw an opportunity to go further.

You asked. We listened. And added something extra.
Every building is different. And while a library of standard furniture covers many situations, sometimes you need something more specific. A custom cabinet. A particular table. An object that simply isn't available in the existing library.
The request was clear: users wanted to expand their furniture library with their own models. But instead of simply adding an import option, we started thinking about what else we could offer.
What if users could not only add their own furniture, but also generate and customise it using AI?
That conversation at INTERGEO became the starting point for one of our next developments. Our team got to work, and we're already testing the result.
From an idea to a Smart Object
We're developing a new AI-powered tool that will allow users to create their own furniture and add it directly to their Pointorama floor plans. We're introducing two ways to create these objects:
- Text-to-Smart-ObjectDescribe what you need, and AI generates a smart object based on your instructions.
- Image-to-Smart-ObjectStart with an existing image and turn it into a smart object you can use in your floor plan.
But there's more to it than simply generating an object.
Imagine you need a row of cabinets along a wall. You could describe a cabinet unit between 80 and 100 cm wide and generate an object that can be stretched to fit the available space, automatically adjusting the number of cabinets.
Or imagine you need a table with rounded corners instead of sharp edges. Rather than drawing a new one, you could simply ask AI to adapt the design.
You're not just adding furniture to your library. You're creating objects that adapt to your project. And all of this within your existing Pointorama workflow.
We don't just collect feedback. We build on it.
Technology moves quickly, but the best developments don't always start with a complicated technical challenge. Sometimes, they start with a simple request from someone who uses the software.
That's why events like INTERGEO are so valuable to us. Demonstrating our latest features is important, but the conversations that follow are just as valuable. They show us what professionals are missing and where we can make their workflows easier.
Not every suggestion becomes a feature. But when an idea fits our vision and solves a genuine problem, we want to act on it. This time, we took a customer request and turned it into something even more powerful.
Coming soon to Pointorama
Our new AI-powered Smart Object generator is currently in testing. It's another step towards helping professionals move from raw point cloud data to complete, ready-to-deliver floor plans, with fewer manual steps and more flexibility.
But perhaps the most important part of this story isn't the technology itself. It's where the idea came from, and what we decided to do with it.

You ask. We listen. We build.
Have an idea that could improve your workflow? We'd love to hear it.
