Getting started
7Pointorama offers a powerful and intuitive interface for navigating and interacting with point clouds. To help how to use the platform efficiently, here is a list of essential shortcuts and controls.
Navigation
- Double Click: Zooms to cursor position.
- Left Click Drag: Orbits the camera.
- Right Click Drag: Pans the view.
- Mouse Wheel: Zooms in and out.
Polyline/Polygon
- Left Click: Adds a new point.
- Right Click: Removes the last point.
- Double Click: Adds a new point and completes the Polyline/Polygon.
- Enter: Completes the Polyline/Polygon.

Plane**- Shift: Snaps to horizontal or vertical plane.
- Left Click: Refines best-fit plane by adding points around cursor.
- Right Click: Undo of the last added cursor position.
- Double Click: Creates the plane.

Floorplan**- Shift: Creates perpendicular angles.
- Ctrl: Refines best-fit plane by adding points around cursor.
- Left Click: Adds a new segment to the polyline/polygon.
- Right Click: Removes the last added segment of the polyline/polygon.
- Double Click: Creates the polyline/polygon object.

Magic Wand**- Left click: Adds detected object under cursor to point cluster.
- Right click: Removes object under cursor out of point cluster.
- Double click: Adds detected object under cursor and creates point cluster.
- Ctrl: Adds all detected objects in lasso to point cluster.

There is no maximum file size, but there is an absolute maximum amount of points in all active pointclouds. The maximum amount is based on the chosen plan. For more info, check out the different plans.

Yes, in order to use Pointorama, you need to create an account.

5In Pointorama there a three user types that each have a different role.
- An admin is in charge of an organisation and is responsible for its subscription. This person can add and remove users or change user roles. All projects of the organisation are fully accessible for the admin.
- A member has full access to all projects of an organisation. A member can create new projects.
- Admins and members can share projects with guests. A guest only has access to projects of an organisation after invitation. This person can’t create new projects. He is only allowed to (re)view shared projects and add comments.
Please note that the number of users (admins, members and guests) is unlimited!
Your data will remain stored for one month. After three weeks you will receive an e-mail that the data will remain safe for another week. After another 5 days you will receive a notification that your data will be discarded after 2 more days.
Pointorama uses security measures to protect all your data from unauthorized access and unauthorized use. Your personal data and your point clouds are safe with us!
Your subscription will automatically renew until you cancel.
We hate to see you go, but if you really want to cancel please email us on support@pointorama.com.
Simply log in to the app and click on your username. From there, select ‘Users and guests’ and click on ‘+ Add new member’. You’ll then be prompted to determine the status of the new user (whether they’re a member or an admin) and connect their email address to the account.
A regular guest can be invited in a project by hitting the share button.
